About Rebecca Berry
My name is Rebecca Berry. Originally, I come from South Africa, born and raised in Johannesburg. It was there that I studied chiropractic at university and gained my first years of work experience. In 2019, I then moved to the Netherlands. Although I certainly miss the beautiful weather, I feel at home here. That’s why I decided to start my own practice in 2024.
The body is a whole
In my practice, I work from the belief that the body is a whole. From head to toe, the body is a chain. If something in this chain doesn’t run smoothly, it often leads to complaints that manifest elsewhere. My treatment focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause so that movement complaints disappear. It is always a complex puzzle that I am happy to solve together with you.
Sometimes chiropractic alone is not enough. With my background in functional medicine, I can help if the complaints have a deeper underlying cause. Fatigue and chronic pain, for example, can result from elevated inflammation levels in the body or a hormonal imbalance. A treatment consisting of both chiropractic and functional medicine is extremely effective for deeper-rooted causes.
Body & Mind
Additionally, I like to take a broader look at the functioning and optimization of body and mind from this background. Even if you don’t have any direct complaints, there is often still much to be gained. Think, for example, of improved immunity, more energy, sharper focus, weight control, or slowing down aging. I work with you to determine your goal and starting point, based on which I create a fully personalized plan. Depending on what you want to achieve and what you are willing to do, this can range from small lifestyle adjustments to more advanced ‘biohacking’ techniques.
I also use ‘biohacking’ myself to feel and perform at my best. Additionally, I see it as an investment in the future, allowing me to stay as fit as possible for as long as possible. For example, I pay attention to my diet, take supplements, and regularly use the infrared sauna. I enjoy diving into this knowledge and making new knowledge practically applicable. Additionally, I like to get on the mat to practice the martial art Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) or lift heavy weights with the neighbors at Underground Gym. Both are great challenges for the body and mind. Of course, balance is also important—I really enjoy a sunny ice cream or relaxing on the couch with a good series.
